Project Overview
This landmark project involved the design and delivery of a complete solar cathodic protection system along a 342 km strategic pipeline route from PS1 to PS3 in southern Iraq. The system uses solar energy to power impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) equipment, providing long-term corrosion protection to critical national oil infrastructure.
Scope of Work
- Detailed design of cathodic protection system
- Supply and installation of solar PV panels and battery systems
- Installation of impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) equipment
- Anode groundbed installation along the pipeline route
- Reference cell and test point installation every 2 km
- Pipeline coating inspection and repair
- Remote monitoring system integration
- Testing, commissioning, and handover
